This performance was 3 days after his mother passed away. He is so brave for actually going out on stage and killing it. I could never be able to do that. In addition to that it was his first solo performance so he must have been really nervous for it.

This was a hard performance… Only a few days after his mom passed away. And it also marks his first ever solo performance. So he was understandably nervous and emotional, though he still sounded absolutely amazing.
The boys (Harry, Niall and Liam) were backstage supporting him. 💗

This performance from Louis is gut wrenching knowing his emotional state at the time. His appearance on the xfactor to perform was already inked; the xfactor team had already gone ahead with weeks of hype : LOUIS TOMLINSON WILL BE RIGHT HERE ON THIS VERY STAGE TO PERFORM HIS VERY FIRST SOLO
3 days to this gloriously awaited event, his mom, racked by cancer, died.

He could have cancelled easily and even the xfactor team would have understood.

He showed up that day .... his most important day....to honour his mom's dying wish: DON'T YOU EVER GIVE UP ON YOUR SOLO

this performance was just days after his beautiful mum passed away at just 43 from Leukaemia. She was the one who wanted him to continue performing. How he held it together for this performance I will never know. He’s so brave and strong. It’s hard to watch seeing the devastation on his face.

Thank you for this reaction. I love this song. He still sings it but remade the sound to fit his live band and gave it a rock-feel instead.

Louis looked sad because it was a very emotional and heavy time for him as it was just 3 days after he lost him mum. He wasn’t sure he was going to be able to perform but he had promised his mum to do it so he did. All his family and Liam, Harry and Niall were backstage to support him. Steve wasn’t meant to be there but canceled his own gig to be there for Louis. This was his very first solo performance, a year after 1D’s performance of History on that same stage.

I remember not listening to any of the 1d boys after the hiatus because I guess I just got uninterested and I was younger as well. Then Louis released this song and it was all over musical.ly in 2017 and I remember searching to see who sang it because the voice sounded familiar… and to tell u I was SHOCKED. Then I decided to get back into 1d and all the boys iggg. But I remember being so annoyed that he hadn’t released anything after miss you, like it took him so long cuz of management and X factor and other things he had to do 😂

I LOVE the lyrics of this song. Louis still performs it, though he does it in a more rock-ish version. He’s not really into the EDM vibe anymore so he changed things up a bit and made it rockier (which I love even more than the original version!)

This was the song that got me hooked up to Louis, I had it on repeat when I first heard it and I love it, the sound of it, the lyrics and the emotions Louis puts behind his voice, it's just amazing!!

This was Louis' first ever solo performance after the band, Niall, Liam and Harry were there backstage to support him and he had just lost his mum a few days before this performance, that's why I beleive he was a bit sad and I think the lyrics of this song were indirectly related to Louis' mom
