I think interest rates will continue to go up due to upgrade buyers buying new construction homes which will raise CPI. Home sellers will try to either sell/rent their existing home but will get caught trying to unload into a market with high prices and even higher rates. This will cause rents to decrease and existing home inventory to rise more. I’d imagine it’d shave off no less than 10% on a National level. Given the lack of building in CA homes will have lots of price drops but they won’t sell which will be even worse because it’ll completely seize up the market out there.
