Found a cool camping spot at Deadwood Reservoir in Idaho

The drive into Deadwood Reservoir coming from the South Fork of the Payette was pretty daunting and I might not do it again. However, once I got there I was rewarded with a very peaceful camping spot and I've always wanted to see the Deadwood Dam.

Love the drone footage of Deadwood Reservoir. Cozy Cove is a beautiful place to spend time on land, and we also enjoy fishing and sightseeing by boat. We've been camping there in the summers for 20+ years, and we went up one time to camp overnight in October. There was not a soul around, the sun was shining, and the sounds of wildlife near and far were like music to our ears. We woke up to our dog's water bowl frozen solid, but there's nothing that compares to the cold, crisp, fresh mountain air in the fall. We are heartbroken about the ongoing fire in the area and know that we will probably not recognize what's left. What a tragedy. Thanks for sharing your experience and what once was beautiful scenery.
