The Skye Blue Hairy Coo

On a journey to the Isle of Skye
Went someone, not you or I
He told of all the sights he saw
Sights of great wonder and awe

He told of the old man of Storr
And footprints of a dinosaur
The Quiraing and the fairy pools
But people said "We saw them too"

He saw bens and burns, villages and towns
The grand house of the Clan MacLeod
Of waterfalls, there were quite a few
But people said, "We saw them too"

That someone didn't know what to do
He'd hoped they'd say "Wow and ohhh"
Then suddenly he exclaimed aloud
Something of which he seemed very proud

“But did you see the hairy coo?
big and scary with a fearsome moo!
With horns so big and hair so blue
I saw the Skye blue hairy coo”!

“The Skye blue hairy coo?
With big horns and a fearsome moo?
I'm not sure, how about you?
I don't think that can be true”.

“It's true I tell you, big and blue.
There is a Skye blue hairy coo.
It's hard to find, but if you do
You can say” "we saw it too"

So If you’re on the Isle of Skye
I hope that you won't tell a lie
Look for the Skye blue hairy coo
And you can say "I saw it too"
