We were thrilled to welcome Dr. Cleavon Gilman to our Virtual 2021 Gala on May 13, 2021, to present him with the SAY: Hero Award!
Dr. Gilman is a U.S. Navy veteran, an Emergency Medicine Physician, and an outspoken public health advocate who chronicled the realities of the COVID-19 outbreak from the front lines and continues to raise awareness about the coronavirus pandemic. Dr. Gilman is also a person who stutters.
We are proud to honor Cleavon Gilman, MD with the 2021 SAY: Hero Award for his enormous contributions to the health and safety of our country, and as a shining example to the stuttering community.
Thank you to SAY kids Kaitlyn, Laila, and Timmy for a fantastic introduction! And deepest gratitude to Dr. Gilman for sharing his inspiration, encouragement, and music, and for joining us for this very special evening.
