“You Should Have Tried Harder” #wait

Achieving success is rarely the result of a single, monumental effort. Instead, it is the culmination of consistent, focused actions taken over a long period of time. Success is built on the foundation of small, everyday efforts that compound and create momentum. Each step, no matter how small, contributes to the development of systems and habits that drive progress and improvement.

These systems, whether they are routines, strategies, or processes, are what sustain long-term growth and resilience. They enable you to continuously refine your approach, learn from mistakes, and adapt to challenges. By committing to these incremental efforts, you create a strong, reliable framework that supports your goals and allows you to build success over time.

In essence, it’s the persistent, cumulative work—the daily commitment to your craft, the constant learning, and the gradual improvement—that truly leads to lasting success. It's a journey of steady progress, rather than a sprint to a finish line, that ultimately defines success.

This personally helps a lot with my mindset towards my chronic illness. It's damn depressing when everyone says try harder when there's nothing left to give.

I did the dishes. Every day is hard for me. I was never lazy, just ill.

Because I grew up with undiagnosed Autism, it gave me Trauma. Also other bad things. But I then got BPD from it. So that I have my depressiv episodes which are related to an overload and then a Burnout, I cannot help myself. I just fail in everything.
I try so hard for a month now to stay stable at my new job to not get fired and I have to stay at least stable for 3 more months. Just after these 4 months, I can tell them I have autism. Else I was fired always earlier

It's not always like this doctor.. Some people are sick, not privileged enough or just unlucky and some tragedy hits them although they had "schedules" and "tried their best". And they don't make it.

Brilliant advice specially the sentence at the end that cemented all the words beforehand and made it all make sense

I mean, it's wonderful to have the privilege to have a schedule that benefits you instead of one that is full of walking on your toes to keep your head above water.

Never forget the importance of circumstance.

I get it but I don't think it's helpful. Success is different for everyone and schedules are hard to keep for many people who are struggling. Millionaires also often start out with many benefits. I don't want to think that 'all I need to do is be organised and schedule' when I've been trying so hard and I can't even get out of bed so others are gonna know I'm unsuccessful and a failure.

i don’t understand how anything can be caused by a lack of effort. if you want or need to do it, and you have the ability to do it, and you have the energy to do it, then you will always put in the effort to do it every time. calling people lazy is just a way to avoid looking for the real problem

So it sounds like you’re saying to try harder to have a “better” schedule. Glad that worked for you but you’re still falling back on telling people to “try harder”

You should talk about how sick people need to rest a lot (depending on their illness but a lot of them require rest, nonetheless), so the bullpoop about looking at their schedule to deduce their sucess in 10 yrs. doesn't apply to them!!! It's all relative and sayings like this infuriate me! We are not all the same!!!

Dr, could you please explain what is on the other side of our belly button? What happens on the inside of our body when the umbilical cord is removed? How does it look from inside on adults? I mean from intestines side of the body

This is really great advice. Now, if only my fellow Americans could grasp this as a whole. The way of life is all about producing 😒
