You gave me some good instructions here: it was more about the fact that by just only deactivating VPN from the Initial Settings screen, VPN kept re-activating by itself. However, going into the "VPN & Device Management" setting (inside "General" Settings), I could de-activate the "on-demand" activation option therein, and deactivate VPN for good. Thanks.

Mine turns it’s self off every few days it’s so annoying because I don’t know that it’s off
