The fact that Leticia was found by just coloring in/editing the picture is still wild to me, because so many people had been trying that since the beginning of the search. It goes to show that revisiting the most obvious methods can be useful with enough patience, or using as many different image search engines as you can lol

I figured it was a 2000s model because they always posed like that back then, however most of them aren't widely known outside of the fashion industry. Natasha Poly was the most famous of them all. Funny thing is, someone suggested it was a screen capture from a tv show or a movie, so I watched all six seasons of Lost because of that redditor's comment lmaooo

As an artist I've studied color theory quite a bit and I can tell you that when you posterize an image of a person and you turn it monochrome you lose almost all individuality. Celebrity number six is also attractive, and most attractive people actually have quite generic features (there are various theories about this, but angular features and proportions play a big part in both being attractive and being generic). Photographers also often light a subject from the upper left or right, which means the shadows and highlights of a simplified image like that will be very similar to so many others. So, the lighting, the lack of detail and the generic attractiveness all combined to make her look like numerous other people.

I kind of had a feeling the pictures on the fabric weren't authorized, as if some small time designer from the middle of Europe could afford the rights to use pics of Johnny Depp and Jessica Alba. Especially during the mid to late 00's when they were arguably at their peak in popularity.

Also justice for IndigoRoom. They solved this mystery only to get bullied off the internet because a discord mod didn't like that they solved it. Full on claiming the image was AI and everything which is just fucking BONKERS. Instead of being known for helping solve Celebrity Number 6, you're now known as the dude who bullied the person who found the image.

My absolute favorite part of these lost media searches are when the original creator (or model in this case) react to the fact that people have been obsessing over them for years. It's so sweet and wholesome

It's very satisfaying to see the photo fit so well after all the "sort of maybe" options. My theory is that they took the photos from some celebrity gossip magazine and maybe that photo was in an ad in the same magazine. I feel like the ultimate discovery would be to find a publicacion in which most of the photos appeared together, but maybe they were just taken from random sources, who knows ha ha. Very cute to see Leticia acknowlege the search.
