Ordered the LAB DF3 last week. Swinging that putter was eye opening! Look of the DF3 was actually part of what attracted me to it. Can't wait to get it out on the course!

It's just marketing, this zero torque thing. I THOUGHT. My mate bought a L.A.B DF3 and said try it. After around a dozen strokes (they are different from conventual putters) putts were rolling so much better and going in or near. I went to Belton Park Golf Club and tried them again, the results were unbelievable. It's not a gimmick it works, if you have the opportunity please just try one. Remember Christmas will soon be here 😊.

Honestly-does it even compare to a lab putter. You putted so well with the lab putter you had.

Looks much better than the LAB UFO!! Tech info: increased MOI will give you better resistance to twisting at impact on off center hits while this technology you are describing is basically making sure the center of rotation is going thru the center of mass of the head leading to no rotational force during the takeaway and follow thru. The Allan model (just like the LAB) brings both of these concepts to putting... perhaps we will see similar evolutions in the other clubs if the rules of golf permit it.

I had a LAB Mezz putter but struggled with distance control and ended up selling it on. I have bought the Allan 3 weeks ago and found distance control excellent and you can feel it wanting to stay square to your stroke, i personally have found it better than the LAB and looks more like a conventional putter.

A lot of companies are focusing on this tech. Evnroll is coming out with something similar. I guess the question is what's the difference between them?

From what ive seen in a LAB video the pxg (much like justin rose' axis) is not zero torque. Only the lab so far seems to be truly zero torque. But if the pxg does 90% of the job and you can get it without a full fitting and having to wait months, and its slightly cheaper than the lab, maybe it makes sense? 🤷

Lew fitted me for my Scotty some years ago but I've moved on to the PXG Allan. As long as you don't forward press, it is great as it simplifies the stroke. Have already improved my putting stats with it. Feels strange not to have a bag full of Titleists but if my putting stats remain buoyant, I'm prepared to put up with that.

Would love to see a longer video on this putter. Maybe in the bag and on the course.

Yes I also believe every major brand will have one in the market place in the next 12 months. They are not strictly new, and LAB weren’t the first to bring one out. Odyssey had one in 2016, think it was called the “9” 🤔. My mate had one and loved it. I’m not real keen on the looks of that PXG, but there’s a few new Evnroll models coming out in a week or two that look very tasty. I’ve not long shelled out on a new Odyssey Rossie ai-one. That rules me out.

I was sold on this putter as I am a straight back and through style putter BUT then you said the May have to wait for the second hand market to kick

I have a DF3 and am very keen to see how the Allan compares. I find the feel of the LAB is a little too firm for me and I struggle with the lack of a longer sight line. What is the feel like on the Allan? Really looking forward to your comparison video.

This seems a better design and an improvement over LAB putters. Lot of reviewers saying the same. Would love to try it out when it is available in my country. $450 price is quite high but understandable as LAB putters are also in the same/higher price bracket and they want to maximize returns before every manufacturer jumps on this bandwagon.

Hi Andy, have you seen the video by Lab trying to prove that the PXG doesn’t work like there putters.

I have it and quite honestly the best putter I’ve ever used… first round 29 putts 🎉

Having gone through a professional putter fitting last week, for the first time ever, I am completely sold on getting custom fit.

If the fitter has all the modern tech, you get a "trackman-like" experience but for putting. In my case I ended up with a putter that was 2" shorter in length, lower lofted and a completely different shape to what I have used in the past - a deep or fat Ping Anser shape (not sure what to call it and I have of course forgotten what model it was!)

The PXG putter will suit a lot of people, I rather like the look of it, but as I have just spent money on a new, properly fit, putter and I usually change putters about once every 15 years or so, I suspect PXG will never be able to sell me this one!

Hmm. Lab used to be the best thing since sliced bread. Can you be truly independent when sponsorship comes into the equation??
