Biggest plot twist ever, and they did absolutely nothing with it. Way to go, D&D

The symbolism of Ned in the background as Jon is told the truth. From beyond the grave, he kept his promise that next time they saw each other, he'd tell Jon about his mother.

"You gave up your crown to save your people, would she do the same?" That line hit hard..

Even though season 8 was ultimately disappointing there’s still awesome moments like this that gave me goosebumps

The son of House Targaryen raised by The House Stark. It would have been the best storyline. But they ruined it.

It still makes me so angry what they did to Jon in this final season. They tried to throw a curveball at the end with Arya killing the night king instead of the traditional hero like Jon, and then the banished him and made Bran king instead of giving it to the archetypal hero like Jon. Neither one of those decisions felt earned. They have just felt like deliberate twists to throw the audience off, but there's a reason why archetypal heroes like Jon are so popular in stories; it's because it fucking works. It's so damned disappointing what they did in the final seasons.

Incredible acting by kit Harrington here, for 9 years he’s been playing Jon snow at that point, and the way he delivered in this performance truly feels like he’s finding out for the first time. You can’t help as a GOT fan to feel the emotion for Jon who truly just wants to do the right thing in the hole series, to find out he’s the heir to the throne. Kit Harrington is Jon snow.

2:25 Jon almost shocked to death for a sec thinking, "Whaaat! In our family too!"

This scene made me the most excited, happy, and straight up in awe at a TV show that I have EVER been... and it went absolutely no where. I'll be disappointed at that for the rest of my days.

This show was so fucking good man, then all at once it just dropped out of existence and pop culture because of the horrendous last season. What a fucking travesty.

I was a Jon Snow fan from the start of the series. Just liked the dude as an underdog. His character story was amazing. No one was better suited to be king than Jon. The resurrection, the tower of joy, king of the north, and this scene developed an amazing immediately got flushed down the drain and amounted to nothing. My belief is that the show was a GRRM test and shit is being changed because of it. D&D are only scapegoats.

I always thought his name should’ve been Jaehaerys Targaryen, given that Rhaegar already had a son named Aegon with his first wife and it’s not like he was planning on having The Mountain murder him. Jaehaerys the 1st was king for 55 years(longest) and was known to be the wisest Targaryen king to have ruled. It would’ve been like a hint of Jon’s rule if the ending of the show had been done right. (Also: He could’ve gone by King Jon Jaehaerys, I think it sounds catchy.)

This was an epic scene, well acted by both characters.

The ending should of been jon on the throne

This still gives me chills even after all these years.❤

"You gave up your crown to save your people. Would she do the same?" That's some heavy line!

I was actually disappointed that jon snow was not crowned as the king of seven kingdoms 😢
swethasunny
Jon should have been King. Just facts.
Degenevesting
Last episode should have been Jon taking the throne and the episode called "The Legend of Aegon Targaryen"

Imagine the horror he must be feeling after realizing he slept with his aunt.
