In another auto episode of Burbex, Brin returns to Shanghai South Station where hidden in the depths of the underground parking lot he finds a wide range of luxury cars all abandoned since the late 2000s and early 2010s. Not only does he find a Mercedes’ S500, S600, G-Wagon, BMW X5, Lexus LS400, but also a couple of Rolls Royce Silver Spurs, the last Rolls Royces to be completely designed and built in Great Britain. Will Brin be able to sneak into any of these awesome rides, or will get underground janitors bust him? Tune in to find out!

I think they may have been abandoned because the Chinese government cumbersome inspection procedures for old cars (twice a year). Fortunately, it only takes a one-year inspection after October 1, 2022.

The 2nd mercedes isnt even a real w221 its a 90s w140 with the front of the much newer w221.

Lexus’ are already large cars, bloody huge with that bodykit! Never seen one done like that before though, actually looks pretty good 🤔
Shame for all those cars to be abandoned like that. At least it’s dry down there though.
The Merc on the end is a G-Wagon mate 👍 expensive.

Sadly I know of know VIN database in China. Would be interesting to look up the prior owners.

Most of these would be pointless money pits to get running even if you got them for free. I bet the only thing they are good for is parts.

The impression I've gotten is Chinese don't buy 2nd hand cars, its either afford a new car or nothing.
