This was my mom's life too. She did well in her O level results, but chose to go for a poly course instead of the JC-track so she could start working to support her family sooner. To this day, she still regrets not going to University and insists that my brother and I must make it there. Now, she's 50 and applying for a part-time degree to fulfil unfinished dreams :")

I am Chinese. My classmates are playing videogames and going to the park, I want to go with them too, but I can't. But my parents always tell me that I MUST study, if I don't study I have no future. I MUST study to work and earn money for my children in the future. It will be easier to find work if you study in a university, and you won't have to work hard.

I cried... And this is a story that when I was in a swim competition I asked my dad. "Daddy what will you choose my swimming or me.... " then my dad said.. "You ofcoures.."
Then he said "why did you ask me that?" Then I said " because youre strict to me when I swim slow"...

Siew Fang is amazing. She is responsible, take care of her family first, she always listens to her family and so respectful.
She is the greatest child I have ever seen. She is always a child who looks and serve her family and people(even strangers) first. She is a great child and she will have a bright and wonderful life ahead. She is hard working and put her family first.

This is why every parent should also not stress their children about grades its ok if you get bad grades you can learn them and practice a little bit more life isn’t all about having good grades you need to live a good life ❗️

I feel so sorry for the eldest daughter when her dad told his other children not to be like their elder sis because she's a failure? but did the father think that the eldest daughter just wanted them to have a good life and I think she wanted to help her family 😭😢
