Back during launch me and my friends were walking near the pumpkin house when I saw glowing red eyes, they disappeared and my friends said I was being crazy but then we alk saw them appear again in the dark woods and it for sure freaked us out

I was just taking a nice stroll when i turned and saw a pair of red eyes and when i aimed at it saw mothman and nearly shit my pants and high tailed it out of there. I turned around and said f it lets see what its got shot at it and it took off then for the next 15 minutes i was like omg its gonna drop me any second now

Watched an Oxhorn video about the Mothman Equinox event, apparently the Mothman cultists that are encountered throughout normal gameplay worship the normal or stalking mothmen while the named ones that are encountered during the event worship the Wise Mothman. Not sure when this was uploaded but I'm guessing sometime before the additional lore was added.
