the ratio of workers to production is not what it used to be. Automation has gotten rid of lots of workers, volume and production is at an all time high, each worker is more productive than ever. wages should reflect that

Want be a good Christmas for the UAW . They should be glad they have a job. There are alot of immigrants looking for work and would be glad to make what they are getting paid.

The big three want a strike. They've been packing dealerships with inventory. The will use the strike as an excuse to keep their outrageous prices high.

It was a Stelantis offer he tossed in garbage. Then later Ford made offer which was turned down.

This should be fun to watch. New cars are already too expensive for most people to afford. Go ahead and make them cost even more now. And watch how fewer people buy them. It’s not gonna work out how they think it is.

GM has only sold 36, 000 EVs in yhe first half of this year. They continue to push vehicles very few people want. If they invested 1/4 less in EVs, they could afford to pay their employees what they deserve!!

Fire the greedy strikers and hire people that will work 40hrs.

Honestly I just think they're looking for an excuse and I know this sounds crazy but think about what happening today crazy is the norm I think they are looking for an excuse to shut down these lines too many cars are being produced it's cheaper to keep the line running making cars than it is to stop it when sales are slow it doesn't make sense so they have to keep pumping them out non-stop and we have an over inventory of automobiles coming up as the interest rates climb so something has to give

This is Lose / Lose scenario. Automotive will gladly take production even further into Mexico and Canada. If workers don’t think they are replaceable they are mistaken. It’s a loss for automotive companies due to loss of production and retraining. And honestly it is because of automotive that there is this very high inflation. They made their bed and will lie in it. Just what are going to be the total consequences?

Is there not a option to go to work somewhere else, even if it means moving? Last i checked you have the freedom to work elsewhere, and live anywhere in the country.
If it's not working out for you, Move...

I dont support the UAW...only because if they strike...many people who have no other income at all, will suffer and won't be able to feed their families. The middle class wants to fight the higher class but what about us poor class? The poor people will have to fight back if The UAW does strike.

The prices of automobiles are outrageous. It cannot continue without severe consequences. I see both sides as greedy.

I work in this industry as a robotics technician and let me tell you that the end results of these contracts will NOT filter down to the 4 million automotive support workers across America! Think before you strike. Times have changed and it's time for some sober-minded negotiations!!!

All these over payed unskilled easily replaced “workers” should be locked out for 3-4 months. Unions should all be dissolved and outlawed. I stand with the big 3. Do not bend a knee to this extortion.
