I was in a production a few years back. I played Norma (the bully that fixes the prom votes) but eventually heard from several people that the director REALLY wanted me for Carrie, and I definitely believe them because I was doing a show (Evil Dead! I was Linda! I think I saw an ED video in your channel so I’ll go and see if I was right after this one) with Carrie’s director leading up to auditions, and he was hyping me tf up for the role. Sadly. I was taller than Tommy, Margaret, pretty much everyone, at a mere 5’8”. So that didn’t happen.
But I just subscribed to you and was looking through your older stuff, found this, and geeked out! Carrie is still my ultimate dream role. Maybe someday, if my age (26) doesn’t start to show?

I can totally relate to this. I'm always type cast as the villain in shows and I often feel like the character isn't complex. This year I was given the lead in my high school performance of Hairspray. Yes Tracy Turnblad isn't a character who has a whole lot of depth but this was a dream role of mine and I'm so excited to play a character that spreads a message that I support and relate to.

Before the show I was in last time I was always dumb or a valley girl in musicals the last show I was in I played a murderer with motive- that was a big change.
