Broken Arrow the Upcoming RTS like World in Conflict | Modern tactical combat gameplay on PC

Показать описание
Modern real time combat in Broken Arrow is visceral, hard hitting and also amazingly fun. We have a new World in Conflict on our hands. The only problem might be its stability and performance. Battles between USA and RU military hardware is almost faster than I could follow and every combat encounter felt like thunder and lighting.

Broken Arrow is a large-scale real-time modern warfare tactics game. A unique army building system and deep units customization tools allow for endless replayability. With 200+ realistic military units and technologies, each battle is more immersive than ever before.
Combat in Broken Arrow is just as visceral and hard hitting as we saw in its trailers, if not more so! And This DEMO was proof of that. We have World in Conflict reborn on our hands my fellow gamers! As I was picking up my jaw and dignity off the floor after losing units left and right I realized this is going to be a great but hard game. The only problem will be its stability and performance.
During the Steam next fest we had the opportunity to play a mission as the USA faction, which was made up of several stages and each had its objectives and difficulties. With no tutorial or save option it was a bit annoying restarting the mission each time I made a tactical blunder, compounded by the fact I couldn’t skip the general’s in mission briefing as he took me around the map.
And the lesions I needed to learn about the gameplay were many. I must admit I was giggling out loud in surprise and awe at the ferociousness of unit combat in Broken Arrow. I would send a few units forward, they would engage the enemy and I would just pause to watch as hundreds of bullets and shells from both sides started to fly in every direction. In just a few seconds there would be only smoke and burning vehicles remaining but my smile was still there, because I enjoyed it all in amazement.
World in Conflict was an equally fun game, but it was based on cold war era military hardware, doctrine and the gameplay was, at least in my memory, slower. This modern combat with contemporary hardware in Broken Arrow is almost faster than I could follow. Sure, I was still in my first hour of playing and learning it, but every combat encounter felt like thunder and lighting.
My attempt at storming the enemy positions, even with use of smoke, buildings for cover, and an all out assault with both infantry and armored vehicles turned into a disaster not 15 seconds after I started it. I think taking heavy casualties is designed into this game. My conclusion is based on the limited DEMO, but considering you constantly get new points to use and call in reinforcements it looks to be true. This is quite literally a modern conflict turned to 11
