I've had my RAV4 for two years and never realized this was what you did with the cover; I've just been putting it on a shelf in my garage, and now I feel like a fool. I had a Highlander for twelve years before that--I wonder if I could've done the same thing there, too! Thanks!

Even though the back is molded identically, The spare tire is too elevated in the RAV4 Prime to do this. I'm not sure about the regular hybrid

I have a 2024 RAV4 xle premium and every time I open the tailgate I hear something that rolls up and down every time I open the tailgate, it’s coming from the driver side, it sounds like it might be a loose bolt or piece of plastic inside the hydraulic that powerlifting the gate, any suggestions?
