Electrical parameters:
Input: DC 3.2V to 35V (input voltage must be more than the output voltage can not be higher than boost 1.25v.)
Output: 1.25V to 30V DC voltage is continuously adjustable, high efficiency and maximum output current of 3A.
Features: All solid capacitors using SANYO, 36u thick circuit boards, high-Q inductors with high power output LED indicator
Size: 41 (L) * 20 (W) * 14 (H) mm (including potentiometers) Taobao minimum with locating hole with LED indicator DC-DC
Instructions:
Access to power (3-35V), adjust the blue potentiometer knob (clockwise rotation generally boost, buck counterclockwise rotation) and with a multimeter to monitor the output voltage reaches the required voltage.
Wiring:
1. welding, welded directly to the power line input (output) port;
2. solder pins, or pins can be inserted through the lead insertion use in tunnel plate; soldered directly to the PCB after another or add pins.
Application examples:
1. The vehicle power supply, only need to enter this module termination point the car cigarette power supply, you can adjust the potentiometer, the output voltage can be adjusted in 1.25-30V, for your phone, MP3, MP4, PSP charging many devices powered, very simple and convenient.
2. The power to the electronic device when the device needs 3-30V power supply voltage corresponding to the hand while using this module you can easily put the voltage to the desired voltage and solve problems.
3. The system voltage test can be used to make this project a variety of debugging module voltage test system operating voltage range, very easy and convenient.

IRFP740 POWER MOSFET
FEATURES
•Dynamic dV/dt rating
•Repetitive avalanche rated
•Fast switching
•Ease of paralleling
•Simple drive requirements

DESCRIPTION Third generation power MOSFETs from Vishay provide the designer with the best combination of fast switching, ruggedized device design, low on-resistance and cost-effectiveness. The TO-220AB package is universally preferred for all commercial-industrial applications at power dissipation levels to approximately 50 W. The low thermal resistance and low package cost of the TO-220AB contribute to its wide acceptance throughout the industry.

Made this today, didn't have the 740 mosfets so I used IRF840 rated at 8 amps. Ran 5.9 amps of current through it, works good. Will probably use as a small power supply. Thanks again.

So many ways to get a job done with electronics, I've seen buck converters the used high current coils on the down side of the MOSFET's and now a low current coil installed on a buck converter so only the FET's handle the high current. This method looks a lot easier to construct as with the PCB already built and just using that to drive the Gates of the FET's. So doing it this way a person can add in FET's in parallel and get a lot more current capacity on the output as in using this with a large 24v battery back or even a higher voltage bank. So long as the input doesn't over run the PCB's max input. But as I intend to run my converter below around 30v max, this would work just great. If I had a spare converter PCB module. I need to look in my parts bins to see if there is one in there. I know or pretty sure I don't have those FET's on hand but I think I have some others that will work, I have some N channel 75v 75 amp pieces that I think would be great for such a task. My converter needs to deliver maybe up to 60 amps so I would use maybe 3 or 4 of those with a good heatsink and fuse it for sure. Put in a thermistor and a fan control system. As if I don't have a PCB converter board, I found another post that makes it's own converter and might be able to put that in with this config.

its working good but you are doing high side switching with NMOS so why it doesnt require bootstrap circuit or can we use PMOS instead

That´s no more a Buck converter. It´s just became a LINEAR converter. You should change the tittle "How to make a 20 Amp LINEAR regulator from a LM2596 DC-DC Buck Converter"

You should have shown the amps going through the meter. Maybe use a 10 amp device as well. Other than that, great work. Will try it out.,

Efficency of this circut can you plzzz tell me ?
Is this circuit work as mppt i.e for e.g of i have 40v solar pannel neeeds to convert them to 24v is it workable there?
Increasing the no of fets will increase the amperes??? Plzzz answer all the questions .

i tried this according to your video.
i need to convert input 12v to 5v output
i am using n-channel mosfet IRF740
when i set the output 5v using the potensio, i measure the voltage at the lm2596kit is around 6volt
when i put a load of a bulb similar to your video. the output voltage drop to around 2volt only
i measure the output at the lm2596kit is around 8volt (increased from 6volt to 8volt when there is load of bulb at IRF740 output)
would you please advise where is the mistake? thank you in advance

Hi there, thanks for nice contents you make . I need to design a circuit to control about 200 A DC . Actually I have a mining PSU and I need to convert it to a variable power supply with CC and CV . Any suggestion you can make ?

With input 24V and output 12V the mosfets must be very hot as it can't handle for continues task as 12 volt droped at mosfet it self.
