In reality the game viktor kinda does exist in arcane but like halfway through the character development of the series. Its obviously different in some way but the mindsets and worldview are kind of what viktor represents in the middle parts of arcane and in general are shown in his interactions with singed.
Arcane viktor is basically just an extension of game viktor

They actually made a journey for his character - the final episode made it clear that viktor had to learn that perfection is folly. Imperfection is the cause for individuality and beauty. As he realised so the anomaly spread him throughout time and he experimented with different runes to give Jayce and the acceleration rune was the only universe where another anomaly could stop the whole situation.

So i do agree, game and show viktors are totally different characters - but the show one is like infinitely more complex and interesting... nothing was lost imo

Okay but realistically, they're actually the same character. They reached the same goal. They found purpose in perfection and ascending beyond their humanity. And led revolutions. They're very parallel characters, just one is metal and hextech and one becomes a being of magic himself.

Honestly I think the part that kills me the most is the fact If I recall correctly Victor used to make toys for children in the original lore. But I may be mixing up characters.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Victor basically became obsessed with technology after his daughter died. So he created Orianna as new daughter and made himself cyborg out of fear of death.
