Hi Valerie: especially during the fall and winter, my go to meal is old fashioned beef stew, in a crock pot. The only change from how my Mom made it is that a) I use the crock pot and let it cook for several hours while she made it on the stove top and b) I use "better than bullion" and she used the little bullion cubes. We always have enough for at least 2 meals.
