That verse isn't traditionally about being "one in purpose" but rather "one in nature" to emphasize the unity of the Father and the Son. (not us and God like the video is trying to say).

Well tbf we are (those of us properly baptized anyway) part of the mystical body of Christ who is himself God. "Now you are the body of Christ, member for member."

On top of that we are God's image, his temple, and the vessel into which he breathed his animating spirit, and a good Christian is additionally a person that Christ lives in.

"I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I that live, but Christ liveth in me"

I agree that blondie has it wrong. It is wrong for anyone but Jesus to proclaim to BE God, but because Christ lives in us, we participate in his oneness with God, just not by nature.
