BLV CUBE triple Z axis bed leveling

This is my version of Ben Levi's fantastic BLV CUBE 3D printer. I changed the design of the Z-axis by adding a third axis and mounting it with a Maxwell coupling. The leveling algorithm is implemented by the RepRap firmware in a Duet 2 Ethernet.

The hose wiring on the hotend is very successful and helps me with this. I also did a new 3 axis blv.

That's a beauty of a mechanism.. I wonder if with some specialized slicer software, there could be some advantage from this additional degree of freedom, in addition to bed leveling

Moin Stefan, really cool your design. I by myself design atm a tripple Z bedleveling, but for an 400*400& min 400 mm buildspace, based on Ben´s genius blueprint. But your Maxwell coupling construction seems too be a big leap forward to bed leveling and holding design of the printbed, can´t await any further info´s. Regards Helge

Hi Stefan, I wanted to ask you aswell if you would share the 3z axis designs here? I am amazed on the bed leveling and even though you might consider your files not Ready it would be an amazing share to the community even if unready… others can take it from there!

@Stefan Wenn I am confused about independent 3-point bed auto-levelling and the Duet2 WiFi. Some people say the Duet2 only has two Z. Sure you can use the 2nd extruder connector on the board for 3rd Z… but in this case the steppers will move together, not independently. So to have real independent Z you need either Duet2 + duex2 expansion card, or Duet3, but not Duet2 alone. What do you use?

With the ability to tilt the build platform, is it now possible to do non-planar operations? Essentially true 3D printing instead of 2.5D printing.
