He masterminded an 8-2 win against Arsenal with a central midfield pairing of Tom Cleverley and Anderson. That's legendary status already!

Winning a league is ordinary, but winning a league with Cleverly and Anderson in midfield is extra-ordinary

Sir Alex played 2 weeks with Michael Carrick & Fletcher as CB...and they won both.
He even played O'Shea as a 10...no one will ever understand it but he won again.
Greatest ever

I’m a United fan and I remember this season very well. This was the same season when United struggled to get clean sheets and had an aging and bizarre defence, but STILL managed to win the league and by a comfortable margin (11 points). Would have won it by 15 or more points but he relaxed a little because the title was already won in like March. Love him or hate him, you have to admit that Alex Ferguson was a monster!!

People call this the Van Persie season but I remember Carrick being just as important for Man United.

One of the worse squads to ever win the league. Showed just how influencial Ferguson was to their success, especially when you consider what happened the season after.

"I'm a dinosaur, I'm an absolute dinosaur. But what I am.... Im a winner" what a fucking quote. That he went and backed up makes it more special

Basically a shite defence, shite midfield a couple of good wingers and strikers and the best manager the prem has ever seen and you have the 20th title.

The amount of times they came from behind to win that year was incredible. It was painful as a Liverpool fan, but you can’t deny that Fergus was an absolute genius.

I remember the match against real madrid. i remember that Real Madrid was scary as hell. They were one of the top teams in Europe at that time. But a damn old fekin monster called Sir Alex Ferguson proves that Manchester United can compete with anyone regardless what they are. we have a good world class player but few of them are already getting old. and combined with a young good player such as De gea, Kagawa.

But i remember we outrun varane and ramos with fekin Nani and Welbeck. Even Rafael at the first half of second leg makes a great overlap. i remember we had a great games at the first half (IMHO that is the most beautiful football that Manchester United produces in Europe in that season against top tier teams) before Nani red card.

Maybe the reason why Sir Alex didnt go the press conf. because he was devastated. Maybe he felt the same way as we felt that Manchester United can win the game. even Jose Mourinho, says "the best team lose".

Ferguson's greatness can be understood even better when u consider how awful David Moyes was the next season with the same team!!

I still feel so aggrieved by that sending-off against Madrid - Fergie had out-maneuvered the opposition with spot-on tactics and then Nani had a red through an abysmal decision. I remember being surprised that Sir Alex did not turn up for the post-match, though in hindsight it was clear how much of a blow it was. It was prove his last chance - Oh what might have been...

Brilliant video though I'd also like to add that it was fitting that while City had to wait on tenterhooks till the very last seconds to win the league, United won it in cool, professional fashion with a few games to spare. Guess that happens when you're used to winning titles!

Chicharito was more than influencial despite being a super sub. What a great season for United

In this one season, RVP was more successful than he ever was at arsenal.

they conceded 3 to us (Reading) and still won 4-3 that just shows how good they were up front and how bad defensively

It’s not just what he’s done, it’s how he’s done it. Breaking The Old Firm monopoly and making Aberdeen a serious European threat, Winning what he did with the Class of ‘92, the Treble season, winning the 2012/13 League with a squad with positional holes in it and several players in their mid-30s and pushing 40, and making 3/4 of his Champions League Finals in his last five years of management.
