How to Connect an Audio Interface to a Mac or MacBook Pro laptop with Thunderbolt 3 to 2 adapter.

This video helps solve the problem of not being able to connect a residentaudio thunderbolt interface to a MacBook Pro. DO NOT BUY THE APPLE Thunderbolt 3 adapter. It does not work and I spent hours trying to figure out why. Please order the CableMatters adapter and you will be so happy.

Hope this video helps others be able to record with 4 microphones at once, an audio interface, MacBook Pro, and GarageBand or Logic. This is probably the best audio interface for mac for your money.

I just got the M-Audio air 192|4 audio interface. They tout it as plug and play, but in fact you've got to go to settings > audio > output blah blah blah just like you mentioned here. No where does it mention it on its site, in their instructions or even on the web. Nowhere! I'm 63 with poor eyesight and patience LOL but without your help, I never would've figured it out on my own. All I want to do is play music from iTunes or Serato. Things of this nature used to be so much easier, but no more. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!

I found how to fix the problem!!!. I finally have my Clarett 4Pre thunderbolt interface connected to my new 2020 MacBook Pro! We should do a Video for all of the people that have this issue with the Focusrite Clarett thunderbolt interface!.
