The way this scene subverted your view of the characters was just, pff, chef's kiss. The way she's been portrayed as superficial or cold in contrast to Laurie who seems full of passion and more honest, to suddenly give her a moment of quiet rage where she points out to him something that has probably never occurred to him: that pursuing romantic love is a privilege he has, because he's rich and because he's a man, and that it is extremely hypocritical for him to judge her for understanding the world she lives in and doing the best she can for herself and for her family. and they both acted it so good, but specially Florence 😔👏🏼👌🏼
