Bill Russell has always been a caring and kind player. Nice of him to help Mikan up. That's what team work is all about and feels good to see Russell continue in life.

All good selections. But I don't understand why the Hawk's Forward Dominique Wilkins wasn't picked in the top 50 greatest players of all time will always baffle me.

Don't know why, but I found it particularly touching to see big Bill Russell helping Mikan up onto the stage. Clearly age was getting the better of him, but seeing that smile light up his face as everyone cheered him on was great to see, imagine it was a great feeling to hear that after so many years away from the court.

Basketball every sense of the expression. I've been a hard core fan of the NBA for over 40 years, and I saw some athletes on this video that even I had forgotten. It's tremendous that the league honored so many tremendous individuals who have shared their athletic gifts with the rest of the world, and provided such enjoyment & inspiration to so many. Years from now, this group will have to expand to include the names of Lebron, Kobe, Carmelo, D.Wade & Dwight, amongst others.

Dominique Wilkins - "Some of the players that were voted top 50 could not even hold my Jock"

pretty much sums it up

It should be NBA's Top 50 in 50 Years.
NBA's Top 75 in 75' should come out in 2022.

I have respect for a lot of 'em but Dominique was better than at least 10-15 of the players there

The only gripes I had with this list at the time were that Dominique Wilkins, Bernard King, and Bob Lanier were left off...

Dominique Wilkins should've been on this team straight up!

Each member of the top fifty were worthy of mention. I had a blast seeing them today, in the same room and respecting each other. Love was in the room from competitors who would fight like there is no tomorrow. Then, stand next to each other
