This song has held a very special place in my heart for the last couple of years since the first time I heard it and I'm so happy after a year now I've finally written English lyrics.
Maaya Sakamoto has the voice of a goddess and I cannot compare; nevertheless, enjoy my translation of the song Kiseki no Umi (Sea of Miracles) from Record of Lodoss War.

It's been 2 decades since I saw this anime. And while the quality of its animation has aged, the music remains to be some of the best ones I've ever heard. The Sea of Miracles is truly a masterpiece, and I think you for bringing this particular version to my life.

This song “Sea of Miracles” really speaks to me, it speaks about facing darkness in all it’s forms. Every once and a while ‘dark times’ will come like a storm on the sea carried by the wind. The most important thing is to have faith in yourself, and in the people you love (especially your love interest) and to ride out the storm when it comes. We have seen many examples of dark times in real life that people have had to face just like the people in the world of Lodoss have had to. When darkness descends hold onto the light inside of yourself, and trust that the sea will be calm once again.

Love it. Kiseki is my favorite anime theme of all time. I've always hoped that the show would get a reboot. It's so earnest and emotional, and largely free from the stereotypical anime tropes.
