I achieved 1k subscribers yesterday and applied for adsense. Adsense got linked to youtube and now my channel is under review. I just wanted to thank to Vidiq for making it possible for me in a quick time. I'd achieved 4000 hours of watch time 2 months back now I think i have over 7000 watch hours. So grateful to Vidiq 🙏

Keep in mind that the larger your channel gets the less you need to rely on search for views because you have a fanbase who watches whatever u post

This is a great point about catering to viewer emotional desires. I've been working on crafting more enticing video titles with the help of Boost App Social. They really help me nail down what my audience is looking for.

I'm sure that your videos about how to do good on youtube do a lot more traffic because such a high percentage of youtube audience have channels and are searching for that. We have a hiking channel, no gimmicks, no hooks, just honest film making how we want to. We may have experienced slow growth but we are now 28K strong. When I got obsessed with trying to follow all these hints and tips the videos began to lack something and I started to not enjoy creating. My viewers are more involved when I'm happy doing what I do

Thank you guys so much for what you do on here. It has really helped me. I really didn't want to do shorts, but now shorts are my biggest videos on my channel, and they have gotten me a lot more subscribers in the last 1 1/2 months I've been doing them. Not at 100 subscribers yet, but at this rate, I'll get there before long. Keep up the great work!

It's cool that you found something that works for you, and perhaps it will work for others to. But this always feels like a byproduct of the fact that you are already a huge channel and YouTube has already enjoyed success pumping your videos out on browse, so it continues to do so. I'm not really sure how applicable it is to new channels.

How many different ways can the message great title / great thumbnail / great hook be delivered? Seems like lots of people follow these steps and don't take off. And if their videos aren't showing up in search or browse already, are these tips going to help?

It feels like there's a lot of great stuff here for optimizing an already successful channel, but as a small invisible channel, it doesn't feel actionable. Just my two cents.

If you just started a channel: Don't be discouraged by the initial challenges or slow growth. Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither is a successful YouTube channel. Stay consistent, keep honing your craft, and believe in your idea – because with dedication and perseverance, you have the power to achieve greatness. Keep going, Champ!

I'm a You Tube newbie, and still have tons to learn. But I have been in the sales industry for well over a decade! (Now I'm dating myself 😊) And the core principles never change...
1. It's always about them, never about you!
2. You need to really understand your tribe/ audience and get into their head. You need to know them better than they know themselves. So when they hear you or see you, they think, omg that's exactly what I was thinking!!!
3. You need to ask questions strategically, that expose their specific problems or pain points, knowing that what you provide is the solution.
4. Listen! Listen! Listen! - Too many times people are trying to think of their next question, or just talk too much & don't let the other person speak. You need to be present, meaning ask a question & LISTEN!! (Also, if you are going into a sales conversation not already knowing the questions to ask, you've just set yourself up for failure.)
5. Be willing to learn, pivot, adapt & grow. Messy action is better than NO action! You may still be learning, but what you know now is more than others. I love the analogy, that a Kindergartener looks up to a 3rd grader (FYI - You should never stop learning!! The minute you think you know it all & get too comfortable, that's the beginning of the end! )

Focus on audience satisfaction because...."audience is king"... When we started our channel, growth was very slow for the first 15 months, we focused on the quality of content and started experimenting such as added Shorts of the same old videos on the same channel... and within next 3 months our channel exploded from 200 thousands views a day to millions of daily views. We also gained a large subscriber base. Now we are also going LIVE for 27x7 and surprisingly, we are geeeting good SUBs and $

My YouTube channel suddenly took off in March with a video hitting over 75k views in a few days. This surprised me, so I made another video in a similar vein and that did sort of OK. Then I thought I'd make another video again in a similar vein to the 75k one and that one did really well. So I looked at why this was and it was YouTube recommending my content. Now nearly every video I make is recommended by YouTube. Consistency I've found is the key. And since late March when the first video got that 75k views, I have gained over 400 subscribers and gone from 250 watch hours to over 4300hrs and counting. It seems at last that I may actually be getting somewhere. So to anyone thinking of binning YT don't, keep throwing mud at the wall and eventually some will stick. And then more and more will stick.

Oh man, I can't wait till my channel gets monetized. For the moment my views have dropped significantly but I'm optimist and i believe that they will go up again soon. Good luck to all of you!

I just hit my first thousand a couple weeks ago. The issue is that shorts watch time doesn't count towards the 4000 watch hour requirement and I have a lot of shorts. I only have like 70-80 counted watch hours. Thanks for making this subscriber milestone possible with my gaming content. Super grateful to have VidIQ.

The problem with browse is that if your channel is being pushed to the wrong viewers you're seeking, your video is just dead instantly, seems to happen to me a lot which is why I have rapid spikes up and down. One day I have a video with 200k views, the next I have 15k, one day the CTR is 37%, the next it's 18% (my average is 23%)
