Показать описание
After figuring out a golf course's rating, take the score and subtract it from the course rating before multiplying it times 113 and dividing this number by the slope of the course. Take five scores and multiply the lowest by .96 to get a handicap with help from a Class A member of the PGA of America in this free video on golf handicaps.

Confusing as hell and did not understand a word of this. Except for the word handicap. But I still don’t know what mine is…on to the next video.

Why not just take the final score and subtract their HCP? I don't get the benefit of subtracting from the hardest hole. Net Net.. it will still be the same score, which is what your playing partner or the person you bet with wants to know.

why you talk so fast bra didnt understand a thing you said after you calculated the differential.
also you the assumption that one knows what a handicap is and what it means when you said you that the best of the 10 out 20.

Not quite.
You daily course handicap is taken as.
Hcap index eg 10.3 x by the slope rating 123 = 1312.5
Divided by 113
= 11.6 = 12
So if you play stroke rounds your net score is calculated by gross score, eg 90 minus your daily handicap 12 net 78.
The only time you worry. About which holes you get your 12 strokes on is if you play. Stableford, which we do a lot in Australia.
Your net 78 is then used to calculate your score differential.
It goes like this your gross score 90 minus the course rating=(eg 72)=18.
The differential is the reverse calculation of above ie 18 ×113/125=16.2.
Over 20 rounds the average of your best 8 differentials.might be.
16.2, 18.4, 21.8, 14..9 15.7, 19.6 13.8 17.9 =138.07/8= 17.25
17.25 is your new base handicap which you then use to calculate your daily course handicap.
Really is simple and most clubs have a computer set up to calculate your daily playing handicap.
Hope this explains the process a little better.
