im totally confused.... i downloaded the omega rom (zipped)... i unzipped it and copied it to external sd card... after that i did as it said in the other video for installation as u gave but im not getting the rom to install (i went in external sd card and opened the file but rom is not there) after wiping cache and all... ... where is my mistake? plz tell me...(im newly trying to install a rom) :( ...plz help me...

i have a major doubt .
i have a galaxy note n7000 and am on ICS 4.0.4 (stock) can i root it and install a 4.2.2 custom ROM on it ?
OR do i have to upgrade to JB 4.1.2 first and then root it and then install a custom ROM 4.2.2.

also whats the diffrence between ROM and kernel ? ( in easy simple way please)
