Oh, sweet Claire! What a gorgeous stash! I loved every single piece. Lots and lots of great pairing options. Once you get the dress fitting the way you want, you can always change the neckline, sleeves, and length to get different looks. I made ten completely different looking tops from one pattern by hacking the living daylights out of it. If you don't think certain colors are flattering on you, then use that fabric for a skirt or trousers. Put some distance between your beautiful face and the fabric. I have been looking forward to this video . . . and you did NOT disappoint. You never disappoint. It was so fun! Thanks for sharing your treasure of a stash with us. Btw, you know what else is gorgeous? Your skin! My gosh . . . it is flawless. Looking beautiful, love. Bye for now.

Hi Claire, you are looking well. 2 years ago, I stopped working because I had medical issues. I will not be returning to work. Therefore, my days consist of mostly staying at home, quilting, etc. I am not a garment sewer. I bring this up because the clothes I used to wear, when I was a working professional now sit in my closet. I have no use for skirts, blazers or dresses. This is something you need to ask yourself. If you don't go out much, would you really wear dresses, skirts and blazers ? Some of your fabric could be used to spruce up your new apartment. For example, throw pillows, curtains, pillow cases. Just a thought. Cheers from Canada.

You have got such wonderful beautiful fabrics and I know you will let your imagination soar. I’m like others maybe go try on a few things to see what suits you. Also I’m retired and a senior citizen so I like easy to put on and off things and comfortable. However I go to church and I go out with family and I go for appointments so I want to look nice also. I’m still a woman and I still want to have a nice hairdo & a bit of makeup & nice comfortable stylish clothes & accessories. You sure have a nice start of fabric to get started on some nice things. Also look and see maybe if you can coordinate things to stretch your wardrobe. Oh and just have a great and relaxing time sewing.

Pale pink Irish linen would be a beautiful dress. The peacock pattern would make a fun shopping tote. Ditto for the magazine covers. The brown twill as maybe a swing style coat? Hawaii print as a summer dress. Lavender linen with flowers as a blazer. So much fabric, so many fun possibilities!

Window shop on line or the high street. It will give you great ideas. Figure out what you need and then start sewing. If you need tops, no point wasting time and fabric making dresses

First fabric, a shirt dress style? The black fabric maybe a kimono style robe?

If it were me, I’d organize my fabric by color way. That way, you can figure out a basic wardrobe of pieces that all go together to mix and match. Once I settled on the main colors and neutrals I really loved, choosing an outfit is dead easy because everything goes with everything else. Personally, I’d start with the leggings since you’re already settled on the pattern and fabric. Jeans/jeggings go with everything, which is a bonus. I love the idea of the oversized shirt in the pink linen, and the color is fabulous on you. I’d do the same with that fabulous embroidered linen at the very beginning. You could add white camis or tees (or both) to wear under, or wear them on their own.

The Donny shirt would look fantastic with some of the fabrics you have ❤😊

The white fabric with blue flowers, would make a beautiful knee length dress, with cap sleeves! Also you look amazingly good! Hope you're not trying to lose more weight! Look great right where you are!

I like most of your fabrics and the idea of a feminine jacket made of the wool fabric. I want to suggest something you do BEFORE you start making clothes with your fabrics. If it is handy, go to the shops and try on clothes to find out what looks good on your body now. I had gained weight and my body changed (I actually had a hind end!) and then I lost the weight and my body didn't go back to the shape it was before I gained the weight. I had to try on clothes to find what suited my body now.

I like all your fabrics. And look forward to what you decide to make with them. Especially the wool fabric.

The pink linen in the oversized shirt would be fab! Perhaps a bomber style coat with the pink and grey houndstooth??

The pink linen would make lovely wide leg pants. The brown thicker fabric could be a nice long winter skirt, kinda a-line plus. I've been searching for a skirt pattern like Supernanny wears, a-line with a flounce at the bottom. If you come across one let me know! The Hawaiian print is beautiful! Whatever you make with it will look great!
