You can absolutely sue a company if your food is moldy, as it technically is considered a form of food contamination and can be grounds for a lawsuit if you become sick from eating it; but, the severity of your illness and the evidence you have regarding the food's condition will have an impact of the case’s outcome.

Honestly the "selling diet culture to children" thing has been on my mind for so long, when I was a child my adhd meds made me lose a significant amount of my appetite and weight and it effected me all the way into my adult life, and to this day I still struggle to intuitively eat.
