I did Something REALLY STUPID in JAPAN 🇯🇵

Today I am going on an adventure from Kyoto to ...... I don't know!
I jumped on a random train from Kyoto and took it to the end of the line, I ended up in a small town called Nara. I knew nothing about this town and set out to find a hotel in the area, which proved much more challenging than expected. In the end I found something and found a real Surprise in Nara at the end, WOW!

I love Nara, the old town is really pretty, the park has some cool temples and shrines and the deer are a lot of fun.

The hotels were all booked because Nara is in the top 3 places people go to see Sakura. This is due to the enormous amount of temples, emperor palaces, Shinto shrines, all from back in the 8th century when Nara was the capital of Japan; plus the deer of Nara park make it a very visited location (especially in the spring).

Cherry blossom season and the final week of spring vacation for schools and universities makes for scarce vacancies in hotels in Nara and other popular cities in Japan.If you are passing by a travel agents, pop in and they'll usually be able to book you a hotel/ryokan/capsule hotel.

I was in Miyajima and saw a deer tear the wrapping off of an unsuspecting woman's box of souvenir cookies she had in a bag. They go for paper of all sorts, wrapping paper on boxes, maps, etc. so have to be careful as they can sneak up pretty close sometimes before noticing them.

Every time I come to Bangkok, I do exactly that, jump on a bts and get off, so where I haven’t been before, it’s the best way to see the local lifestyle, Japan looks amazing, but I’d like to do Okinawa first, great to see your having a good time.. but when do you not 😆😆👌
