Among fruits Guava is specially produced in the fertile land of Sharaqpur. They are tasty to eat Being an old city it was situated near the bank of Ravi river and thereby consisting of fertile land. It is supposed to came into existence in Mughal emperors, someone claims in the era of Shah Jahan. A place where the royal family members usually visit for hunting purposes.
The city used to be a Tehsil of Lahore, Gujranwala and now a days a tehsil headquarter of Sheikhupura. Shrine of Mian Sher Muhammad sahib is the land mark of this city and is also known around the globe due to fan following of this great big saint of Islam.
