This beautiful slope shouldered dreadnought is a CJ-A from Collings, and is made up of gorgeous Indian Rosewood for the back and sides, and Adirondack Spruce for the top.
Collings have done an incredible job of capturing the sound and feel of the iconic slope shoulder dread that we all know and love, with the tone woods in question reflective of this inspiration.

Mr. Miner is such a great musician and plays such interesting pieces. The sound of the guitar...well, after I have heard so many recordings of guitars on The North American Guitar’s YouTube page, I don’t know if I can fully trust the sound to be representative of what the instrument will sound like in person. With the amazing Schoeps microphones and some great recording gear and whoever is engineering the recordings, every guitar sounds bigger than life and like “the best guitar I’ve heard.” I know they ALL don’t sound that way. Kudo’s to the person making those recordings and Carl Miner.

Miner understands that one does not get the best sound by beating on the guitar. Every guitar has a sweet spot where it sounds it’s best. He’s one of the few who gets it right every time.
