The before was better .. I don't mind renovating old furniture it's okay, the wood needs good preservation and care, but the original colour and embroidery fabric was way better

“ they look so expensive” no. They look cheaper now. Black paint and cheap fabric will always look cheap.

i love every flip but i think staining/ painting it in maybe like a dark brown/walnut or espresso would look a lot more natural & appealing than the black on wood, in the long run

😢It makes me really sad when people buy gorgeous antiques and destroy them! They were absolutely charming in their original glory! They did turn out pretty, but destroyed the value!

It’s nice to know that you take certain fabrics and you up cycle them to somebody else. Unfortunately nobody else here is getting the memo and they think you’re throwing it away.

You ruined the wood. Then made it worse with the BLACK. Should've done a glossy white or bright colour [palm beach style, MCM]. That textured center back piece is a great feature & curve of the chair wood frame... :(

I almost cried when you took off that needlework from the seat of the chairs. Unless they were stained beyond repair? Otherwise you just made these way too plain. Sorry.
