Apple iPad mini 2 vs Google Nexus 7

Apple and Google have been waging war against one another for a long time now, and considering that this year meant that we would see refreshes to several popular tablets, which we did, it's only fitting to see how their two compact tablets stack up against one another...

Nexus 7 charges really fast. And it has a longer battery life despite having quad core chip, NFC, 1080p screen, android and a lower mA count than the iPad mini.

I got time to argue the iPad air and iPad mini with retina display are the best tablets. The iPhone 5s is the best phone. Stop hating. You can't beat the 64bit processor. Android doesn't have it. It's like America detonated the first H-bomb and shocked the world. Android is still playing catch up. Plus you can't beat retina no matter how many pixels you come with. Just face the facts Apple is the king of tablets. iPad is the Ford Mustang of tablets they out sell all their competitors combined.

One thing he did not mention is that the nexus 7 has duel speakers, one on top and one on bottom with surround sound, also, a correction with the iPad Air. Apple.com says the ipad air has 264 pixles per inch (PPI), but it could have just been a typo. Just some things i wanted to point out. Very good review, keep up the good work. 😊

The awesome price makes the Nexus 7 a better deal. But the bigger screen, and the apple app store with so many tablet optimized apps makes the ipad a better tablet.

Best PhoneArena vs. ever! It's refreshing that John V. doesn't just favor Apple's Tablet just because Apple came up with the idea of the tablet first excuse, and just look at both products for what they are. Me Google Nexus 7 without a shadow of an doubt, it does everything the iPad Mini 2 does but it's a hell of a lot cheaper.

I'm using my nexus 7 right now, and I will say the screen is super bright.I rarely ever use at full brightness except for movies because I'm afraid my battery will explode.

Ordered a used one on eBay today. With its iOS 12 support it‘s still fluid and the price 5 years later... a dream. Looking forward to get things done with my mini, while the nexus 7 became rotten after only 1 year.

Your saying the iPad is luxurious? The nexus feels like a pillow in my hand (I'm holding one) while the iPad will get very hot when you do anything that isn't playing flappy bird (this is because of the aluminium body).

I have them both. iPad mini 2 has more optimized apps that are really fun to use. Multimedia is much better on nexus 7 while browsing on the iPad using safari is much comforting to my eyes. I like the portability of the nexus and how cheap it is but if I have to chose between them I would go with iPad mini 2
