You need a moister barrier if your not using Kerde . Please use proper fasteners . No narrow pieces at the bottom .

You always want the biggest piece of concrete board towards the bottom just like tile period

I did this, no glue tho.. I didnt like the durock cement board tho..Feels cheap..
