I can't help but cringe every time you draw it out of the sheath... one of these days you will lose a finger. NEVER HOLD THE SHEATH LIKE THAT AND DRAW THE KNIFE OUT.

Won't buy another Condor.  My Parang snapped at the hilt the first time I used it, sent it back over two months ago, have not heard anything from it.  My opinion Condor is just a fly by night business with no customer service.

Where did you get the specs on the Rc. hardness of the steel? I ask because I have the Jungle Bowie (among others) the knife that Matt originally modified to get his knife, and the specs for the 420 steel from Condor is significantly lower, 52-53 or so. Also,  I have the Final Frontier knife and it was advertised as having 1075 carbon steel at Rc. 50-55 (which is machete hardness)

How does the knife measure up on striking a ferro rod?

Why?  Just why?  I can't see anything about that knife that makes any sense at all.  It's not even high carbon steel.  It's stainless, and when they say "high Carbon" with stainless, they just mean it has a touch more carbon that regular stainless.  It has almost no carbon compared to something like 1095.  And the shape of it makes no sense at all.   The main thing, thing, is that it most certainly is NOT high carbon steel.
