Golden rule: if ya Can't use a straight edge, dont touch rendering ever... Plastering is a funny old game full of chancers, bloke tried but job got the better of him.

Kirk’s a very forgiving fella! Personally I wouldn’t feel for a fella who’s left a job in that state! I’ve had to re do work of mine that didn’t come out great, would never think of leaving anything that I wouldn’t put my name to, as Kirk says, there’s always the occasional blemish, be it on multi finish, render, etc, but you make it right before you drive away for the final time

Hi, agree.I would flatter in with a base coat But I will then go over it with a silicone render which is very fin.. That would mean you Good just scratch back all of Existing render a little round the beads And.
Then apply your fine of silicon render

Krend do a bonding agent "K-Rend R7 Acrylic Bonding Aid" which i would recommend prior to basecoating over the top of the topcoat rather than just relying on hp12 etc adhering 😉

hiya Kirk pal, do u know anyone that is doing plastering overseas and if they're doing well? im working to get certified in the UK, fully, then move to Canada to be with my girlfriend.


second question, do you know anyone that went from plastering into the Health and Safety sphere? think that will be my next move with a NEBOSH certi.

One of the reasons for this is i've read British Gypsum Safety Data Sheets and i think ur all madheads for not wearing respirators mixing up and stuff KILLS A RAT IN 4 HOURS LADS PROTECT UR LUNGS AND THROAT

Sounds like fix the damage then a top coat of some type if possible.

Straighten wall with sbr then base coat then spray it with thin coat 👍

As a tangent question.... can these mono rends be painted, if after a number of years they are discoloured, algaed or graffitied? If so, what type of paint?? Cheers
