Weather Update: Don't Expect Much Snow

After a beautiful cold & sunny day today a warm front approaches tomorrow bringing a chance for snow to Long Island, however, I don't expect much beyond an inch or two, which will then most likely wash away in the rains overnight into Sunday morning. After that, we see fair weather for the next week with temps ranging from normal to slightly below normal. Unfortunately no big arctic outbreaks as the GFS has gone with the flatter Euro look to round out the rest of Jan.

I'm surprised to hear your late start prediction, Winter Weather Advisory has been saying 10AM. Maybe a couple inches here in Oyster Bay. My "ideal" storm is 6"-10", enough to plow, but not too much. Sounds like a lot of rain overnight... 1"?

Looks like the models want more warmth and rain again. This winter really is turning out to be not winter again.

It was a cold here today make to near freezing. This snow we are getting isn't all that impressive I think it will mostly be rain.I like your point on News 12 NJ they actually talk about local news and news that affects everyone
Where as news12 li only talks about national news and trump trump. It might as well be CNN or fox news

It was cold af here in Hazleton today uce, but it was sunny. Tomorrow, the storm will go from 10 am to 1 am, might get a few inches of snow tomorrow, maybe some more, who knows. Sunday is looking good, same thing for next week. Went to the gym today, then went to a new cigar bar, had a jack n Coke and 3 beers and smoked 2 cigars and had dinner there and went to my favorite cigar bar, had another cigar and another cold one and now watching Chicago PD, stay safe during the storm uce and have a few cold ones.
