The animals crossings are so important. I first read about the possibility of building them in the US years ago and thought, “ oh, we’ll never do that here.” WOW. So happy to be so wrong.

Love to see the work done on the Cuyahoga river. My dad was growing up in Cleveland around the same time as a few of the fires and said it was a really tough time for the city. They've put so much work into getting it clean over the last few decades. There's a group that hosts a paddle festival on the river every summer, actually right where they showed the people releasing the tiny sturgeons. It's a good time and promotes the conservation efforts in the area. I'll admit it's definitely not the cleanest body of water I've ever paddled on, but that's why it's so important to keep pushing cleanup and conservation efforts. Things can't change overnight but they won't change at all if we don't make the effort!

So many good news articles. Cancer treatments, animal crossings, water desalination equipment, are all very encouraging stories.

I worked with USEPA developing water quality programs and also remember the Cuyahoga River on fire. It’s good to see the culmination of clean up efforts getting attention! Also live in Colorado and the first wildlife crossing was completed in our area which helps to protect animals and allow them access to their native grounds. But, I also know that the lithium mine in NV is being contested by local Native American tribal governments of the amount of destruction to their tribal homelands, eventual pollution which leads to soil, water and air contamination. I would like to see us explore the need to recycle and reclaim these rare earth elements rather than making the battery in my electric car a one time/one lifetime product

The animal crossing bridges have been a habit in Europe for infrastructure works for a long time. I think there are dozens in a small country like Belgium alone, let alone in the rest of Europe. Always be careful with terms like world leading.
