Wow loving this channel. So nice to see content like this from the perspective of a crew member. Most crew members I meet seem to be the nicest people ever and I genuinely miss them after leaving a cruise. Keep up the good work, we really appreciate all the hard work and effort you guys put in to make our time on board so enjoyable.

I love Holland America. Quite a few brits on board and very pleasant Americans.
Kids are scarce. So it’s calm.

Great summary of this group. We just got off a Viking 21-day cruise, South Atlantic Crossing, Buenos Aires to Barcelona, our 5th ocean cruise with Viking. Fantastic food, no casino, no children, quiet, and spectacular service. No other line surpasses Viking. Seaborne is the closest. When we left the ship in Barcelona, there were six monster ships lined up behind us, and we thought “thank goodness we picked the right company”.

Just came back from a Viking Cruise... as the say, "for the thinking man" not "for the drinking man". That´s true, and it is magnificent!

We've done about 12 Viking cruises, both river and ocean, and haven't tried anybody else recently. I think Viking's destination focus and relaxed on-board vibe are my favorite aspects. I travel to check out the history and culture of various parts of the world, and Viking consistently delivers this. The program directors are very professional in places as diverse as China, Russia, and the USA. And the contracted local guides have always been among the best I've had. On board, the afternoon tea is a must now that it's included in the cruisefare. I really like Viking's all-inclusive pricing and the very quiet advertising of on-board shops and services. And the food is exceptional.

Thank you for your brief intro comparing these lines. We were taken by my mother on two Viking trips, Danube and Russia. Once she discovered Viking Cruises, she never went with any other line and always absolutely loved her river trips. They looked after her 100%. We loved the food, breakfasts were amazing and all the staff were so friendly and helpful. From our experience they get 10/10.

My husband and I have done 9 Disney cruises and we love them. The last 5 of them have been since our kids have grown. We love it!

We were loyal Royal Caribbean cruisers for 20 years. And then we found Viking! We've never looked back. We're headed to our 6th? 7th? ocean cruise in June with them - in the Owner's Suite.

Disney: DCL is a cruiseline for Disney fans, no argument there at all. However, that's kind of a silly reason to say "ignore" overall. In a way, DCL is kind of their own category of cruiseline, I think of them as something closer to a large-scale premium charter cruise than a small scale mass market cruise.
Including DCL in this comparison is like including an 80's themed cruise in a list of regular cruises, it's a difderent thing.

All that said, for Disney fans, a few differences that may sway your decision one way or the other...

No casinos (this is actually another reason DCL costs more, no gambling revenue)

No drink packages. Soda, tea, and non-speciality coffee are all included for everyone. All drinks with alcohol are a la carte only. This also means there are far fewer drunks onboard stirring trouble.

(Mostly) inclusive pricing. It's very possible to have an incredible time on a DCL ship without taking any extra money with you. Disney does not nickel and dime you for things onboard in our experience.

I hear their Internet packages are pricey...but one of the things we love about cruising is digitally disconnecting, I wouldn't want internet even if it was free.

Nightlife is non-existent. All bars close up between 12-1am, there are no all night danceclubs or entertainment venues. If you like to stay up late your choices are to hangout on deck, walk around the ship, or go see a movie (all movie theaters are free, last start time is usually no later than midnight).

I really, really enjoyed watching your video. It was highly informative, of course, but your charming delivery was what made it so marvellous to watch. I shall absolutely have to save my pennies to try a Viking cruise. And I had to laugh when the strains of the American national anthem accompanied the segment on P&O! 😂

Finally! At last! After watching for 2 years Expert cruise ship YouTubers, telling us everything of their experiences on board, the do's and don'ts on a cruise, I have now, for the first time, been shown what I would like and want on a cruise ship. I'm starting to look, online, what sailings are available and suitable, offered by the Cruise Liners of my choice. And no, I'm not telling which is my choice! Thank you!

We have only ever cruised with Carnival, we are going on the Celebrity Solstice at the beginning of June to Alaska so thank you for giving this information. We can't wait.

Kirk, this was honestly one of the best and most thoughtful cruise review videos I have watched. I will be going on P&O for the first time with some family this July. Looking forward to it. As for Costa, I agree! I did it once 15 years ago. Never again! And thanks for the content!

QM2 Atlantic crossings are a journey not to miss. Been both ways on two occasions. QE around Alaska was a joy.

You don’t need a dinner jacket and bow tie, I have a black lounge suit and dark tie. It works.

We always liked NCL. It’s a nice blend between what my son desires (RC) and what I actually prefer (Celebrity).
