Roman's YouTube: @snapsbyfox

This week I'm out exploring with a camera again, and I'm very happy about it. I also talk about how I try to decide how long I wait for photos before moving on.

😮 uah, I immediately have so many action sport photographs that win prices and such in my memory that have this je-ne-sais-quoi set up feeling like the first image just doesn't. The authentic way of shooting action and movement is just different. Thanks for putting words to this, I never knew why I never liked some of the photos..

The red cube image is very nice except for the annoying left side corner that is left right on the edge

If you are ever in the southwest Popsy, interview me, no one knows me but I make a wicked pizza in the garden and have cold beer and we have loads of sheep to photograph down here 😃👍

I think an interesting one could be Mike Chudley / Jimmy Shixin

I think for every one in this series you need to have a different petition idea and see how they are all received. I think renaming the camera bad tanked but I'm sure you'll have many more ideas 😉

Lucasz Palkia from EyeExplore, Samuel L Streetlife, Pat Kay, Adrian Sanguinetti are a few interesting photo guys on here that might be worth chatting too.

You might have to go to Japan to chat with 3 of those guys. Although not the Japanese one somewhat ironically. 🤔

Think you and Alan Schaller would make a very interesting video and his work is great. Steve McCurry would be great aswell!! You should keep the geese in it aswell, they did a great job🪿

Hi James, love the new format. Have been a fan of both yourself and Roman for sometime so that was an additional bonus.

I'm so happy that a lot of people don't go for the 'Instagram shot' as much. Yes it's nice and it can work. I stopped going for this and I feel my work has improved and makes me happier.

It's incredibly valuable to hear a photographer tell the full story of an image because people just starting out don't understand what it takes to get a shot, they think top pros just have a better eye and timing than them (to an extent they do with experience!) and the image just 'happens' effortlessly.
I'm guilty of just moving on if I don't get 'the' shot immediately, so to hear Roman say how he had to wait half an hour and take 150+ shots to get one he was happy with is, as I said, incredibly valuable.

I look forward to the future episodes! Trust me, I need the wisdom...

Roman is an excellent photographer and teacher. I’ve learned plenty from his channel.
