The 2023 ‘BBC Cardiff Singer of the World’ competition concluded yesterday evening and it is also celebrated its 40th anniversary. There were many reminiscences of past winners, but this great Russian was top of the list. It was wonderful to hear how much he was admired by both experts and colleagues alike, but very poignant at the sheer sadness of the loss. Rest well Mr Hvorostovsky 🌷🌷🌷
