Even with words, this piece always brought to mind the Empire of Japan in WW2, particularly Pearl Harbor & Port Darwin.

The oriental opening primes it, with a feeling that's quiet and secretive, yet passionate. Then the thundering bass hits very suddenly and doesn't let up exactly, but does come in waves. The falling notes before the bass hits also bring to mind a dive bomber for me.
