DIVERSITY IN LIVING ORGANISM Part 3 | 5 Kingdom classification | Monera Protista
Hello Everyone,

In this video I am going to explain
The hierarchy of classification and five kingdom classification.
Three Biologist, Ernst Haeckel , Robert Whittaker and Carl Woese have classify organism into broad categories, called Kingdom.

The 5 kingdom classification by R Whittaker-
Robert Whittaker classify organism into 5 kingdom on the basis of several characters like- Body organization, Mode of nutrition, cell Structure.
*Firstly the organism are divided into prokaryotes and eukaryotes.
*Prokaryotes unicellular organism are called Monera.
*Eukaryotes divided into unicellular and multicellular.
*Unicellular eukaryotes are called Protista.
*Multicellular eukaryotes divided into 2 categories, one with cell wall and another without cell wall.
*With cell wall , again divided into 2 groups- Fungi and Plantae.
*Without cell wall ,multicellular eukaryotes placed in the kingdom Animalia.
So, the five kingdoms are- Monera,Protista, Fungi, Plantae and Animalia.
The 5 kingdoms are-
Monera, Protista, Fungi, Plantae and Animalia
1. Monera- kingdom Monera contains unicellular prokaryotes. They may be autographs or heterotrophs.
Some common examples of Monera is- Bacteria, blue green algae and mycoplasma.
The diagram of organism belongs to Kingdom Monera is also mentioned.

2. Protista- Kingdom Protista contains unicellular eukaryotes.
They may be autographs or heterotrophs.
The common examples are-
Unicellular algae- Chlamydomonas
unicellular fungi- yeast
unicellular protozoa- Paramecium

In this video I have explained only these 2 kingdom- Monera and Protista with examples and handmade notes and diagrams.

This video is useful for class 9 students, the students who want to clear their basics in biology and all competitive exam students.
