The space suits used by the astronauts on Gemini 7, known as grasshopper suits, were designed for comfort. But after two weeks inside them, that was the last thing on the crew’s minds.

When the 3 divers opened up the spacecraft once it landed after two weeks, two of them imediatly vomited from the smell inside. grim.

Human can achieve greatness, be it losing a brush or finding one another.

All the roominess of two adult men being shoulder to shoulder for two weeks. Crew selection (personalities) was important!

We're all getting free training to be astronauts with this quarantine.

The Gemini 7 crew was allowed to take off the suits. First Lovell took his off, and then after a couple of days they switched; Borman doffed his spacesuit while Lovell put his on. Later, it was decided that both astronauts can be suitless.

Thank you for posting. I got to witness a rocket launch in 2018. Amazing experience. I uploaded a pretty awesome clip of the experience to my page.

Well at least they got to brush their teeth. Boy, don't you know their diapers smelled! They probably ended up with diaper rash!

That would be like being sealed alive in a coffin . I could never ever ever ever do that . Too claustrophobic . Makes me feel claustrophobic just watching them .

If you've ever had to drive across country, two people in the front of a VW Beetle, remember -- you got to stop every few hours and walk around, and go to the bathroom in real restrooms. Not so for Frank and Jim.

Please watch a Walter Cronkite narration of a launch to get the correct pronunciation of "GEMINI". Old NASA films are a good source too. Those of us who built this capsule thank you.
