after: 150 words a minute

im 16 years old and reading has always been a struggle for me, i have always wanted to finish reading a novel but couldn't. now i feel like i can finally do it without just listening to audio books. this actually helped alot, i honestly wasn't expecting anything. thank you!

My first read was about 160 words, it’s kinda low. The second time I did this I read 260 words. I did get better focus at times but also lost a bit comprehension at others. Also got too excited cause I did not believe I could read this fast and yea lost track lol. More than anything I am excited to implement this into my readings from here on. Thank you for a very pedagogical teaching on Kwikreading

Amazing. I am in my fifties and it is never too late to do anything better. I have always been a slow reader and felt, "If I could only read faster..." Voilá! Here you are. My first round was 156 words per minute and my second one was 252. Now I just have to get faster! Thank You!

As someone who suffers with severe ADHD, I really appreciate this video simply because I am terrible at reading letters such as bills etc and it leads to me letting it pile up.

For the initial reading exercise the nearest thing I had to me was a letter from the council and I found my words to be about 130 a minute which is pretty low and probably why, despite having written a novel, I’ve always struggled to read long books.

Thank you!

I started with 260 words per minute, but using the underlining technique, my speed increased to 330 wpm, AND my comprehension improved! Wow, thank you Jim Kwik!!🤯🤗

Before the finger tip I read 18 lines and after I read 35 lines. I loved it. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us.

Hi Jim,

Reading speed before using hand: 190 WPM.
Reading speed after using hand: 438 WPM.

By the way, I do have your course from ages ago, and its my father's one, and I truly did more than quadriple times this speed, I'll probably use it again later on, because I have exams now, I just needed a speed reading technique, because we have to read so much information in a small amount of time.

Wow, I went from 160 words to 200 words/minute. I grew up in Korea so I often studied my textbooks word by word and sentence by sentence with a dictionary. I also read out loud because of needing to hear and learn difficult/foreign words coupled with an attempt to focus. Learning this, I think it's safe for me to let go of those habits. Thank you!

First attempt with following my finger using no practice round yielded a 25% improvement: baseline 264 wpm increased to 330 following my finger. Impressive! Thanks for the introductory video.

Now It feels like I’m basically cheating in reading when using Jim Quik’s method of reading! My reading improved more than 100%, and yet I still understood what I was reading!! Edit: Yet, I’m only 13!

Using my finger did not increase my speed but definitely increased my focus. I’ll check back in after a week of practice.
