Could have done with this video 2 months ago when I got round to putting coilovers on mine. Hope you find the washer on the rear goes underneath otherwise you will have a spring go flying if you drive the car or try to adjust it. How you finding the BC’s? Went with some KW v2 instead just to be different.

It seems like the rear adjustment cups are installed uncorrectly and (imho) unsafely, you should've undid the bolt on the cups and then a big washer comes out to be installed under the rear beam to fix the cups to it...

Hope I've been clear enough...

Yea have fit the rear springs wrong, on the actual adjusters u need to take that bolt out and put the plate on bottom of arm so adjuster is bolted in

Are you on any of the 9n3 pages or specifically the 9n3 GTi owners pages at all, or a personal insta? Also a 9n3 GTi owner with a heavy mod list, which I should probably do a video of one day as I haven't done one since that bonnet strut install lol and seen people ask for a video on the car 🤣

But word of advice, don't use grease on threads, it causes bolts to stretch and over tighten when doing them up, in cases can cause bolts to snap as sometimes the torque wrench won't click, would hate to see something like that happen is all aha, Also the rear springs are also installed wrong, the bolts at the bottom comes out of the adjuster and the plate goes on the underside so the adjuster stays in place 👍
Keep up the work dude 🤙

I went to get some BC Racing coilovers based on this video but their Australian division says that the only ones they offer for the 9N3 Polo won't suit a GTI. I don't suppose the ones you got had the H-08-VM SKU? Thinking I might just risk it, can't understand why the GTI wouldn't be supported on a performance orientated coilover.

Excellent video mate & you seem to be getting in the flow now 👍🏻

I can't remember where BC are made but they cover & are big in the Japanese market. You'll probably find the reason for it having a 14mm nut is the Japanese are superstitious & will never fit anything 13mm on a car. Every bolt around that size will either be 12 or 14mm unless it has been replaced by someone.

Also stating the obvious but make sure the car is sitting on level ground when setting the height. If not it will be giving you false readings.

Great episode & looking forward to the next one buddy 😁👌🏻
